JFK, Others Receive Donation

A faith-based humanitarian organization, Good Samaritan Discipleship, Inc., has donated several consignments of items to the John F. Kennedy Hospital (JFK), several schools and the blind in Liberia.

The founder and overseer of the Good Samaritan Discipleship, Inc. Madam Martha Daidii, on behalf of the organization, recently donated one hundred boxes of medical supplies to the JFK hospital and similarly donated several copies of the Holy Bible, Braille, and some consignment of clothing to the blind school located at Virginia outside Monrovia last Saturday.

Madam Daidii also made a donation of school supplies to three (3) schools, including the Grace Gospel Mission School System located in Paynesville City outside Monrovia, as well as to the Christian Home Academy and the LOCASHA Baptist Community Institute located in Paynesville respectively.

Making the donation to the schools on Tuesday, 8 January 2008, Madam Daidii challenged the school authorities to use the donated items, which included copy books and book bags, to enhance the learning process of their students. She said the donation was her organization's way of identifying with educational institutions aimed at bridging the gap of illiteracy in the Country.

The Good Samaritan Discipleship, Inc. founder also made a donation of 275 pieces of children's clothing to the non-governmental organization, Acres of Hope International, located at Duport Road, Paynesville, outside Monrovia, as a way of her organization helping Acres of Hope to give hope to the many hopeless children in Liberia, after a decade of civil war.

In a related development, the Good Samaritan Discipleship, Inc. has cleared a four acres land space in Bomi County for the erection of an eighteen (18) classroom institution that will serve as a rehabilitation center.

When completed, the center is to, among other things, cater for several traumatized person across the country.
